Heritage Festival & Parade
Students are welcome to join us in the Heritage Parade in South Charleston on September 19, 2026. We recommend that students wear their Dance Loft Plus Shirt or if they want to wear their dance costume that is fine also. You are also welcome to bring candy to toss to watchers. Parents are welcome to ride in the parade with us. If you can’t join us in the parade come by our booth at the Heritage Festival.

Drop Off Time: 9:30-9:45Am
Parade Start Time: 10:00Am
Pick up Location: DT&I Depot / Bike Trail Head this is also the Heritage Festival location.
At the end of the parade we quickly jump off the trailer so we don’t delay any traffic in the parade. Please meet us at the end. If you can’t meet us at the end your students will stay with us at our booth until you stop by and pick them up.

Parents Dance
We have an opportunity for parents or adults in a student’s life to step onto the stage in the Parent’s Dance. It’s a fun line dance that is easy to learn in just a few classes. Free class, costuming from your own closet, & No experience required. Or watch the video breakdown here and join us at Dress Rehearsal (required).
Costume: Dress as a Lego Character. We will provide you with a Yellow mittens.
Pre Orders
Items available for pre-order: Recital DVDs, Stargrams (Good Luck Wishes) in the program, Rose Bouquet for your dancer at the Theater, & Recital T-shirts for anyone. Items can be purchased through your Parent Portal, In Person, or by email. Pre-order sales must are due by May 20th. Stargrams due by email, text, or in person by Saturday May 25th.
Theater
John Legend Theater is in Springfield, Ohio. This offers our dancers a professional theater experience. Tickets for our Annual Recital are through the theater with the link below, in person, or over the phone. Tickets go on Sale May 12 and are available until the time of performance. Everyone (except dancers) need a ticket but there is plenty of seating so invite everyone.

Scholarship Silent Auction
We have a Scholarship Silent Auction during our recital. Funds raised are set aside for students who find sudden financial difficulties, so they can continue classes. Want to make a unique basket that fits the recital theme… Here is a list of our App Categories of dances and ideas for baskets that fit them, or use your imagination.
Baskets are due by Dress Rehearsal.
Picture Day
Miss Mindy is a trained photographer so she takes all of our recital photos. The week before recital is our TECH WEEK when we take photos. These photos are available for purchase; packages and prices listed below. Picture day in Xenia is on Tuesday 5:30-7:30 & Thursday @ Class Time; In S. Charleston Picture day is Wednesday @ 5:30-6:30. Pictures will be shipped to your home this year instead of in-person pickup. Make sure we have an accurate address on file.
Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal is held the Saturday before the performance MAY 31, 2025. Our practice show is held at the Xenia Community Center. Dancers in the Act 1 should arrive by 10:30AM, Act 2 dancers should arrive by 11:15AM. We estimate each half will take up to an hour to run through but dancers need to be present when their dance is run. The only classes we “re-run” are Creative Movement, Special Abilities, & Finale Dance. Come in Full Costume, shoes, hair, and make-up (if you are allowing your student). Parents Dance practices at the end.
